Stepping Into the New

Change… man, nobody really likes change—but it’s necessary.

As I continue stepping into new adventures, new positions, and new opportunities, I’ve found myself reflecting on the changes that have taken place in my life and the impact they’ve made. For the most part, those changes have been positive.

Now, have they always been wanted?
Have they been freely accepted?

Honestly—no.

But like anything in life, challenges and changes are often the very things that make us stronger. I truly believe that our Heavenly Father allows us to be placed in situations that test us—not to break us, but to refine us.

“For you, God, tested us; you refined us like silver.” — Psalm 66:10 (NLT)

Just like iron must go through the fire to be strengthened, we too must go through the process. Growth requires pressure. Purpose requires refining.

“As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.” — Proverbs 27:17 (NLT)

In order for us to become who God intends for us to be, we have to go through trials, changes, and even tribulations. But the key is this—keeping Him as our source.

Keeping Him as our guide.
Putting our full trust in Him.

When we do that, it allows us to walk confidently into our destiny—even when the path isn’t clear.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT)

Will there be unexpected twists and turns? Absolutely.

But here’s the comforting truth: God oversees it all. He already knows the outcome. When we take ourselves out of the way and fully trust Him, we position ourselves to walk in purpose—not fear.

“The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.” — Psalm 37:23 (NLT)

Looking back on my life—every career change, every mistake, every wrong decision—I can now say:

Thank God I made it here.

Because now, I’m in a position to help others.
To guide someone away from the same mistakes.
To encourage someone who feels stuck.

And at the same time, it keeps me aligned with where God is taking me next.

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God.” — Romans 8:28 (NLT)

So if you’re reading this and you feel like you’re just going through it—this is for you.

Stay grounded.
Stay firm in your faith.
Don’t let others dictate your direction.

Walk the path that God has called you to walk.

“Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.” — Psalm 119:105 (NLT)

And one day, you’ll look back and say:

“I didn’t always understand the journey… but I’m grateful I trusted God through it.”
